Eight men were reportedly wounded by live fire during Tuesday clashes in
the West Bank town of Tamoun, after Israeli troops entering the town
were approached by men hurling rocks. The clashes followed the arrest of
a man allegedly belonging to militant group Islamic Jihad, a
Palestinian source told AP. Israeli soldiers dressed as vegetable
vendors arrested the man on Tuesday morning, the source said, adding
that the clashes were started by the locals to prevent further arrests.
